Noone is myopic in hindsight

…found it profound in a positive way because it reduces the guilt of having made wrong choices. Djiktra’s algorithm progresses in a greedy way by making the “Best Choice at that moment” (This was from Varuna, one of my students). Humans too work in a similar way. They make best choices from available options. Some choices work, some don’t. In hindsight it is easy to say I could have picked up the other choice, if your choice does not work out. But at that moment that was the best you could have done.

So don’t feel guilty or remorseful. No one is myopic in hindsight.

  1. Fantastic lies. I too have felt the same many times. But this analysis goes one step further to prove a valuable point.
